Descriptive Subtitles (DS) on the screen (formerly Hard of Hearing)
Descriptive Subtitles show the spoken dialogue while also providing text-based descriptions of important non-dialogue audio, such as music cues and sound effects.
DS are available on every Monday screenings (unless specified otherwise) and at our relaxed screenings.

Descriptive Subtitles (DS) on handsets
This means that Descriptive Subtitles are available on a handset which can be borrowed from the box office. They are available at every screening, and not just on Mondays, provided the film is compatible.

Audio Description (AD)
This means that the film has audio description. You can borrow a headset from us and listen to non-spoken parts of the film being described.

Relaxed Screenings
During our Relaxed Screenings, we relax our Code of Conduct. We appreciate not everyone wants to sit still for a long time in complete darkness and that the ‘normal’ level of sound in a cinema may be a bit much for some.
